A Child That Eats More
Is Not Necessarily Healthier

When a child does not eat well, or is not hungry, you will need to follow the pediatrician’s indications, but it is also necessary to remember that some children have low nutritional needs, which means that their bodies only require of a little bit of food in order to be well fed. On other occasions the adults do not prepare servings that are appropriate for a child’s age. For example, a child that is one year old cannot be fed a 100-gram steak, since 75 grams is more than enough. Just because a child eats more it does not mean that that child is healthier. What is important is that the food is appropriate and goes according to the needs of the child both in quantity and quality. A child’s health used to be measured by how big his or her cheeks were, however this mistake is in the past. Remember though also that we should not go to the opposite extreme, like some mothers do in their personal obsession to not gain weight.

When the Parents Work
It is normal that when an adult gets back home, you feel like resting, it happens to everyone. However, if you have a child, you cannot only do what you want to or feel like doing, since children need the attention of their parents or from the people that live with them. Children are not aware of how tired people are and need a certain amount of time dedicated to them. One of the most important moments for this is meal times.
