Adapting to Being Pregnant
The baby is not the only one that is growing and changing during pregnancy. Your body also has to adapt and adjustments it makes are not always the most comfortable thing in the world. Being prepared for what is coming can give you some ease.
Changes in Your Breasts During Pregnancy One of the first and most amazing changes your body goes through happens in your breasts. Even during the first month of pregnancy, almost all women can notice a considerable increase in the size of th
eir breasts and that they become very sensitive. The nipples and the areola also grow and may become darker. The changes in the breasts occur because the body increases the production of estrogen and progesterone during the pregnancy. These make the glands inside the breasts grow and ramify, in preparation for the production of milk and breastfeeding after the baby is born. The amount of blood that goes into the breasts also increases a good amount. It is possible that you might notice blood vessels with a bluish tone to them on your breasts.
It is possible that you will have to use several different bra sizes during your pregnancy and it is a good idea to invest in good bras during this time. Good support will help to reduce the skin from stretching and posterior flaccidity. Although there are women that like their new enlarged breasts, there are other women that feel uncomfortable. Don’t worry though as there are many other women that have gone through the same thing.
