Baby Meal Times

Baby Meal Times

Another aspect that conditions eating habits is meal times. It is very important to have scheduled meal times. When it comes to meal times for children, the adults taking care of the children should have this very present since eating out of times can cause certain amount of insecurity, both at meal times and when it is time to get up, take a nap or go to bed. As a child gets older these schedules can then become a bit more flexible. However, for a baby it is important that the different meal times he or she has throughout the day are given regularly, since too long of a time could go by between meals and too little time between the second and third meal, which could cause the wrong type of diet and the child could stop eating all together. Not only this but waiting too long to feed a child could cause the child to get very moody.

Picking at the Food
When a child begins to eat the same way an adult does, the child begins to form the same habits the adults have, one such habit is picking at the food. The child then begins to pick at as much food as he or she can when meal times are not given on time and in the end the child does not eat properly. This is a bad habit that should be avoided at all cost because when a child east off schedule and in a disorganized way, it is impossible to know what he or she has eaten, but no doubt that it will not be a balanced diet.
