180 grams of shortening
130 grams of brown sugar
3 eggs
150 ml of milk
3 bananas
80 grams of nuts
100 grams of oatmeal
300 grams of flour
20 grams of baking powder
5 grams of salt

Preparation
Mix the shortening with the sugar, and add in the eggs and thinly sliced bananas.

Sift the flour, baking power and salt together and then add them into the egg mixture alternating with the milk, the oatmeal and the nuts.

Place the paper cuplets in the muffin molds and fill them up to ¾ of the height and bake them at 180 degrees C. for 15 to 20 minutes.

Suggestion: it is better to not mix the ingredients in too much. Mix the preparation by folding everything together. Generally muffins are served hot, as this way their flavor is better.

Plinio the old one, recommended eggs as venereal exciters, and in another occasion he makes reference to the stimulating virtues of the horse's testicles and the right testicle of the ass, with a glass of wine (animals of big sexual attributes). The influence of Plinio on the medieval people had many forms, and in medicinal questions he enjoyed of great authority amongst the doctors, as can be seen in his prescriptions in that time.

Empiric Marcelo, for example in his work of De medicamentis libri, of great popularity and whose first edition appeared in 1536, picked up on and spread the beliefs about eggs and testicles according to Plinio, but with a little bit of his own personal touch. Empiric explained to those who were lazy in sex matters that, even more effective than eggs were the testicles, mainly if they were prepared with honey and were eaten for three days straight. Their healing effects were in this way certain and immediate.

A Little Bit of Fire Helps
King Luis XIV of France frequently drank alcohol sweetened with sugar to reinforce his sex impulses. The result of this was that the married couples of the time ate pastries soaked in alcohol.

Also the anisette that the emperor Charlemagne sent to cultivate in his domains towards the year 812 was known from remote times. Surely, when this plant was baptized, it was kept in mind that one of its most important properties was: stimulants, since the name of anisette comes from the Greek word anisemi that means to excite.

These are just two examples of alcohol and the effects it can have on humans sexually as you will read in the following.
