Breastfeeding Habits

Some babies develop bad lactating habits such as biting, playing, getting distracted and when they are older, they sometimes pull on your blouse or look for your breast with their hands anywhere they want. Talk to your baby in a delicate but firm way. You will need to enforce the rules.

What to Eat When Breastfeeding

  • Increase the amount of calcium you intake, even more so then when you were pregnant.
  • Drink whole milk, not skim milk because the organism assimilates calcium better if it is ingested with a certain amount of fat.
  • Eat vegetables, especially spinach, artichokes, and turnips.
  • Eat fish and chicken, and dry and fresh fruits.
  • If you want to increase the amount of milk you have, drink beer yeast (not beer though), quinoa water and oatmeal, chocolates too.

Did You Know?
The size of the breasts is determined by the amount of fatty tissue they contain, but this does not have any relation with their capacity to produce milk.
