Coffee in Aphrodisiac Recipes

Coffee has somewhat of an uncertain and picturesque story. It could have come originally from Ethiopia or Persia (Iran in actuality), from where it would have been taken to Southern Arabia. There, according to tradition, in the year 850 a shepherd was said to have been watching his sheep and that they started to behave in a disturbing way and dancing. He noticed they were eating some berries and decided to try some himself. He liked the sensation it caused him and took the fruit to show others.

The berries he ate were coffee beans.
