Coordinating both Hands
Hitting their own body or an object is the first corporal response with which babies will react to sound. It is important that you observe that this game is done with both hands. Between eight months and a year of age, almost all children leave one hand still while the other hits this one. So that the baby coordinates the movements with both hands, stimulate him so that has hits:
- Over a table with both hands
- Over his legs, first with one hand and then with both
- Over an object that will not force him or her to have to lift their arms too much
- Over any part of their body, first with one hand and then with the other
- After, you can make the baby play by having him touch one hand and then the other, or teach him to crawl. When babies crawl they need to coordinate their movements to move forward.
