Getting Down to Business with Your Child’s Studies
In this part we are going to cover three major areas of growth and intellectual development which include reading, encyclopedic knowledge and mathematics. The first area has to do with reading, and it is by far the most important of them all. Reading is one of the highest functions of the human brain. Remember that human beings are the only creatures in the entire world that are capable of reading. Reading is one of the most important functions of life, given that all of the formal teaching is based on the capability of reading. To start off with you will need to teach your child to read. After you have had a certain amount of time that has been
dedicated to following a good and consistent reading program, you will then need to start with an encyclopedic knowledge program. All human intelligence is based on data that constitute of human knowledge. Without data there will not be any intelligence. Start out with an encyclopedic knowledge program by using units of intelligence divided into groups. When this advances well and you feel the anxiety of getting into a new area, you can then start with a math program. As you will see, math is actually a natural subdivision of any good and complete teaching program given that it is started with the math units of intelligence which are the cards with dots, more commonly known as math dots. In this part we will attempt to rough out the basic principles of good teaching skills. These principles can be applied to reading, encyclopedic knowledge, and math, as well as to any other thing you are interested in teaching your child.
We are in a way a product of our own education that we sometimes do while teaching our children, without knowing it, the same mistakes that made us suffer so much when we were children. Schools usually have the things set up in such a way so that children fail. It is not easy to forget about the big red X’s we used to get when we did not write down the right answers. And usually, when one got a right answer, nothing was said about it at all. They used to do exams with the intention of placing into manifestation our ignorance, rather than trying to discover our knowledge. In order to enjoy the pure emotion of teaching you little child, it is better he starts from zero.
