How to Teach Your Child by Using Intelligence Cards
The following part will help you to teach your child by using the intelligence cards. Even though the technical information is important, the most important ingredient and the one that is the most valuable in your program are already inside of you. This technical information will serve to guarantee the intimacy relations that you and your child share while you grow and develop throughout the learning process.
Teaching sessions with your child First of all you will need to choose the group that you are interested in teaching your child. This group has ten intelligence cards in it. Pl
ace yourself and your son in such a way so that both of you are comfortable and looking at each other face to face. Show the cards at a distance of eighteen inches form your child’s face. Start out by cheerfully announcing that “We are going to learn about reptiles!” then as quickly as your hands allow you, slip the last card of the stack to the front and say “This is an American alligator”, “This is a black rat snake”, “This is a Boa constructor”. When taking the last card of the stack and placing it to the front you can quickly check the name that is written on the back of the card that you are about to show the child. Afterwards, when you place this card in front of the child, you will need to communicate this same name to the child. You will need to quickly go through these ten cards with a great amount of enthusiasm. Your objective is to do this with as much speed as possible. It should only take you around ten to fifteen seconds, no more than this though. One second of having seen the card and five seconds in total to change the cards. You will soon see that you will acquire ability for this. During the first few days after having presented the new group, you will need to continue saying “This is an American alligator”, “This is a black rat snake”, “This is a Boa constructor” etc. as quickly as you can. Children will get to learn the rules very quickly.
It is wise to make sure that none of the intelligence cards is upside down before you start in order to not waste the time of your child while you are flipping the card over. On the other hand, you will need to change the order of the cards every time you show the child. As you already know by experience of teaching your child to read, you will need to make sure to get rid of all the distractions around the environment, especially when your child is doing something new for the first time. In this way when the child starts out with his encyclopedic knowledge make sure to put special care in choosing a quite and peaceful moment to present his intelligence cards to him.
