Mashed Potato Shells with Béchamel Sauce and Fish Recipe

 

Adequate for babies nine months of age on up. Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients
100 grams of potatoes
2 tablespoons of milk
75 grams of fresh cod
2 tablespoons of béchamel sauce
Salt (optional)

Preparation

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and put them to cook with abundant cold water.
  2. Once the potatoes are cooked, strain them and mash them with a potato masher adding in the milk and some liquid from the left over water that the potatoes so that you end up with a light consistency mashed potato meal.
  3. If you want you can cook the fish adding it to the potato preparation 5 minutes before these are done cooking.
  4. The fish is tastier if it is cooked papillote style in the oven for 8 minutes though. And the juice it lets off can be used and added to the béchamel sauce, which will enhance the flavor.
  5. Break up the fish, mix it into the mashed potatoes, put it in a shell or an individual plate and spread the béchamel sauce on the top.
  6. For children that are over twelve months of age you can sprinkle cheese over the top and brown the top in the oven.
