Mashed Potatoes with Minced Meat Recipe

 

Adequate for babies nine months of age on up.
Makes 2 servings.

Ingredients
200 grams of potatoes
4 tablespoons of milk
100 grams of minced chicken or minced veal
1 small onion
2 tablespoons of grated tomato without the seeds, or tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt (optional)

Preparation

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into small pieces and put them to cook with abundant cold water.
  2. Once the potatoes are cooked, strain them and mash them with a potato masher adding in the milk and some liquid from the left over water that the potatoes so that you end up with a light consistency mashed potato meal.
  3. In a pan cook the well-chopped onions over low heat until they become softened.
  4. At this point add in the meat and stir well so that they aren’t any chunks. Once it changes color, add in the tomato sauce or the grated tomato and allow it to cook slowly for around 10 minutes.
  5. Add this preparation along with the mashed potatoes once done and divide it into two servings.
  6. For children that are over twelve months of age you can sprinkle cheese over the top and brown the top in the oven.
