Our Mothers in Past Times
The arrival of a newborn child always has a wonderful effect on us the adults. The mothers that are in the first group and those that are willing to spend full time with their children and are lucky enough of being able to do so, can multiply the intelligence of their babies and they do multiply the, when they find out the way of doing this. The mothers that are in the second group can multiply the intelligence of their babies and they do multiply it, when they find the way of doing so. It is possible that the mothers in the second group are able to spend three or four hours with their babies every day. Like this they have the time to teach their ba
bies to read, gain encyclopaedic knowledge and mathematics. This allows them to multiply the intelligence of their babies instead of limiting themselves to increasing it, and therefore, make the brains of their babies develop. The mothers that are in this group have less probabilities of having the necessary amount of time to teach their babies to play the violin, speak various languages, or to teach their children to do gymnasium exercises. It is incredible what is said these days given that a high number of mothers of our actual society need to go and work outside of the home and are not able to dedicate the whole day to teaching their children. This affirmation leads us to believe that given that the old fashioned mothers that existed in the past, did not go out to work; did not have anything else to do than to dedicate their whole day to teaching their children.
The idea that during the time that our old fashioned mothers took care of their children because they simply had nothing else better to do would probably make some of these mothers laugh their heads off. Keep in mind that during those times the mothers did not have any washer machines, nor gas stoves, or automatic heaters, much less toasters, dishwashers, blenders, electric can openers or air conditioning. Therefore, raising two or three children during that time required a mother do several things at once such as sowing by hand, fixing socks, feeding carbon to the boiler, cooking on a carbon stove, washing the clothes by hand, and many, many other things. It is also true that many of those mothers would not leave their houses or go out (except to do the shopping) during those years. However it is completely false that these mothers did not work. Most likely the mothers during these years most likely had less than four hours a day to dedicate to each one of their children. Mothers have always had a lot more other things to do then just to teach their babies. The miracle is that they have managed to do such extraordinary work with the little time that has been set out for her. So then, what happens with the mothers of the third group that are only able to dedicate little spaces of time with their babies? Is it possible for them to multiply the intelligence of their babies as we have proposed here? When these mothers want to obtain that is the moment they should read up on it and see what they can learn.
