Pay Attention to Your Own Self Esteem
During the whole time our baby needs us, there are few moments in which we think about ourselves. We say that we are willing to develop our self-esteem but we know how to demand of ourselves more than to gratify ourselves. It would be interesting that, even way before the baby is home; we relearn how to treat ourselves.
Although working on your self-esteem may not be what you feel like doing when sad or low, but your well being also needs a certain amount of discipline, first of all because the duties we have with our baby do not start and finish with the baby. Get used to giving yourself little things that give you pleasure, as this is a way of transmitting the beauty of life to your baby as well. These are some of the things that some mothers practiced and which had excellent results. We suggest you do them as well to spoil yourself, as you deserve it as well!
- Take care of the way you look. Go to the barber or use a facial mask to soften and strengthen your hair or hydrate your skin.
- Take long baths with essential oils or salts.
- Enjoy a meal you feel like eating. This is not the moment to worry about your figure.
- Sing and listen to music.
- Do ten minutes of exercise every day.
- Practice one of your abilities such as painting, decorating your garden, drawing, or any other thing that enhances your creativity or that you simply enjoy.
- If you like writing, write a diary about your day, write poems etc.
- Try to hang around interesting people that make you feel nice.
- Redecorate your house, even if that just means changing some furniture around.
- Spoil the interior child you have in you.
