Resin Anisette Recipe
The best anisette is the one that comes from Crete, then one that comes from Egypt. It is excellent for sauces and helps to remedy stomach gasses and when it is drunken inhaling its scent, it helps to get rid of hiccups. The boiled leaves are excellent for indigestion. It is a diuretic and it calms the thirst. It is an aphrodisiac. With wine it turns into a sweet flavor and it is more effective when it is but black and fresher. These wonderful properties of the anisette are due to the essence locked in their seeds the anetol that is the base for the production of anisette aguardiente (liquor).
Everyone dreams about having their own odalisque and there was this girl who in my opinion was the closest to the description and the houris that are told about in our culture. The houris are the virgins of the Paradise of the Mohammedans who are beautiful young girls that are reserved for the blessed souls.
I didn’t know it at first but this girl I was so into, happened to be from that specific culture and although she did not agree with her origin due to related issues of how women are treated, there are some things she did learn about such as belly dancing.
