Two To Six Year Olds Require of the Following Foods Everyday:

Milk: 2 to 3 portions.
Each serving of milk should be of 200 cc’s of milk, 2 of yogurt, 40 grams of cheese, or 100 grams of fresh cheese.
- Meat, Poultry, Fish and Eggs: 2 portions.
Each serving should be of 80 to 100 grams of lean meat or chicken, 100 to 125 grams of fish, and 2 eggs. A Child should also eat 30 to 40 grams of cooked ham in sandwiches for example.
- Bread, fresh and dry Beans, Pasta, and Rice: 4 servings.
Each portion should be of 40 grams of bread, 50 grams of beans, 125 grams of tender beans such as peas, 50 grams of rice, 50 grams of pasta, 125 grams of potatoes.
- Fresh or frozen Vegetables: 2 portions.
Vegetables that need to be cooked are of 100 grams per portion. It’s necessary a child eat at least 1 portion of raw vegetables, and 1 portion of cooked vegetables.
- Fruit: 2 to 3 portions.
1 portion is considered to be a piece of an apple, banana, pear, orange, peach, melon, watermelon, 2 or 3 apricots depending on their size, 125 grams of strawberries, cherries or plums. It is also suggested a child eat one citric fruit a day.
- Vegetable Oil: It is recommended to feed a child around 20 to 25 grams of oil a day, preferably olive oil, as it is healthier.
