Vanilla Crème Brule

Vanilla Crème Brule

It is said that vanilla owes its stimulating effects because of the way the vanilla sheath looks, which looks like a woman’s genitals. The word “vanilla” is a diminutive from Latin “vagina”.

Ingredients
5 egg yolks
3 vanilla sheaths
100 grams of sugar
5 tablespoons of milk
½ liter of cream
Brown sugar for caramelizing

Preparation
Cut the vanilla sheath lengthwise and scrape it with a knife to get the seeds out. Place the seeds in a recipient and add in the 5 egg yolks and sugar and beat it well (don’t put in too much sugar as you are then going to caramelize it), until the mixture starts to whiten.

Add in the milk and the cream and mix well then place everything in molds a little bit less then a finger in height and place them in a bigger recipient and heat the recipients over hot boiling water.

Then place them in the oven at 150 degrees C. Once they are done, place the brown sugar on top, and in a preheated oven at 250 degrees C. caramelize them.
