When a child first starts eating baby food or purees, a very abrupt change in the texture occurs. What was once liquid is now thick; not only this but the flavor, color and odor changes as well.
Once a child starts eating baby food or puree, you can then introduce him or her to a variety of different foods. The child will also want to start touching the food and becomes more autonomous. from getting dirty and playing and throwing the food. This is a transitory period. The important thing is to control the small autonomy the child is starting to acquire. You can teach a child to hold the bottle correctly, however the child himself should be the one that learns how to control it.
The sense of taste is one of the senses that develop before the rest. A fetus is able to perceive tastes through the umbilical cord and they also have a very keen sense of hearing. These senses are the base so that a baby eats well. It is precise that the child does not hear noises he or she does not like while eating and that they are fed what they like to eat. This is why during breast feeding times a woman should avoid eating certain types of food, so that they are not distasteful to the child.
